Smart Keyboard all of a sudden doesnt work. I contacted the Apple Help Centre and was told that I would have to take my keyboard back to Australia to get it fixed. You can check the connection pins thoroughly to ensure that it is clear from debris. Use clean clothes or a wiper to clean off the connector do it gently or you could damage the connecting dots.
